Proposal in Pacific Spirit Park

Proposal in Pacific Spirit Park on a wet day

Hey! I just got to be a part of capturing a surprise proposal in Pacific Spirit Park and I couldn’t wait to tell you all about it. It was a wet PNW day and the session was full of love, surprise ground hornet attacks and all the forest feels.

From the moment I met these two, I could tell how much they truly loved each other. To start- it was pouring rain and they just smiled and said “let’s go for it!”. Then, only 15 minutes or so into the session, ground hornets were flying up M’s skirt and L was batting them away with a scarf! After a few moments of calming down from that surprising attack- the proposal happened! We settled into a few section of the forest hoping we were safe when L handed M a handwritten note and got on one knee. It was such a potentially off putting series of events that only brought out laughter and joy between these two!

I feel so honoured to have been a part of such a special moment in their lives, and I can’t wait to see where their journey together takes them. It’s moments like these that make me love what I do even more, capturing raw emotions and genuine connections between people who are so full of kind hearted energy. It’s what photography is all about, and I feel so grateful to be able to do what I love every day.

Let’s chat here about your upcoming Vancouver proposal!
