Matthew + Isabel had an intimate mountain top wedding in Kelowna after their plans for a large wedding were redirected by COVID-19. They were living in Victoria and planning on travelling back to the Okanagan where they grew up, met, and their relationship began, for their spring 2020 wedding. When quarantine hit they took off to the beautiful Okanagan valley to stay with Isabel’s family. They had walked a trail behind her families home nearly everyday and when they finally made the call to postpone their big party for next year they knew this trail was going to be the spot to say their “I Do’s” on their original date. The plan changed but I love that they were still able to create something sentimental and so special for their day!
They began scouting the trail for the perfect mountain spot, showcasing Lake Okanagan and not too difficult of a walk in for the family to be able to join them. I think they picked fabulously!
We got ready at Isabel’s parents house, had a first look in their courtyard and took off on the 15 minute walk to the ceremony location. The day was filled with beautiful, intimate moments as they committed to loving each other. I am so excited that couples are finding new and meaningful ways to celebrate this summer as we all navigate COVID-19 changes and new regulations. So thankful for being able to get outdoors still and appreciate the beauty of our home!!
Check out their beautiful and intimate day and leave them some love below!
