- How long are your immediate family sessions?
Typically they last 1 hour but this can be dependant on kiddos, the location, etc. But plan for around an hour!
- How long are your extended family sessions?
I plan for an hour and a half. This includes big group shots, combinations of all different groupings such as grandparents and grandchildren, all the siblings, cousins, etc, along with mini family sessions with all families involved.
- What time is best for the session?
I recommend all outdoor family sessions be done during golden hour. This is 1-2hours before the sunset. Of course this timing will vary throughout the year. If it is not possible for your family, let me know and we will make something else work!
For indoor sessions I recommend the late morning when lots of daylight is going to be streaming in.
- When is the best time to schedule a maternity session?
I suggest booking your family photography session when you are about 30-33 weeks along. This way you will be showing a good amount but also hopefully not too tired and feeling too big to enjoy the session.
- When is the best time for newborn sessions?
I like to schedule newborns between 1-3 weeks after birth. This of course depends on how the birth goes and when you are able to get settled back at home. The earlier we can do the session the more calm the babe will be!
- What is the turn around time for your sessions?
My typical turn around time is 2 weeks. This might be a bit later in peak summer season but just ask and I am happy to let you know what my current workload is!
- Do you take a deposit?
For these sessions, I take a $100 deposit to secure your date. The final amount is due on the date of your session.
- What methods of payment do you take?
My preferred method of payment is E-transfer however, I am excited to say I am now accepting credit cards as well!
- Can you help me with location ideas?
For sure! Let's brainstorm some ideas together! Once I have a little idea of what your families interests are/what look you would like from the session I can give you some recommendations.
