Cathy and Blair had a downtown Vancouver wedding with so many sentimental and unique elements. The day started with a Chinese ceremony to honour Cathy’s heritage and continued to a western ceremony on the rooftop of Fable Diner which is located on top of The Kingston bar which is where they first met each other 12 years ago! So special.
I love how Cathy describes the ceremony. She says, “walking down the aisle was the most memorable part of the day for both of us. All of a sudden, I felt a strong sense of calm knowing that our closest family and friends were there to celebrate and support us.” Isn’t that the best?!
The day continued with mingling and toasts at Fable diner until everyone head across the street to Cafe Medina for an intimate and delicious dinner! There were speeches and so many delicious courses! Highly recommend checking them out for a meal!
Now on this specific Saturday, Vancouver was hosting one of its festival of lights nights. This means a country puts on a large firework show in the harbour. Everyone gathers along the beaches or out in their boats to take in the sights! Cathy and Blair decided to embrace it and take everyone out on a boat to finish the night off! We boarded at Granville Island and set sail for the fireworks! The sun set and the city lights started to shine when the show began! And it was spectacular!
