70’s Inspired Garden Wedding

A 70s Inspired Garden Wedding in Vancouver by Abigail Eveline

Let me transport you to this picturesque garden wedding with 70’s inspired touches and wait for it… a disco ball dance floor!

The whole vibe was vintage yet elegant, with soft flowers, and set in a garden.

Now here’s the cherry on top – that disco ball dance floor! The couple wanted to add a unique touch to their wedding, and boy did they succeed! The moment the disco ball started spinning and the lights bounced off the shiny floor, everyone hit the dance floor in a frenzy of laughter and killer dance moves. It was such a blast!

As the photographer, my goal was to capture all the candid and natural moments that made this wedding so special. I wanted the photos to reflect the modern and vibrant energy of the day, with the vintage spin they put on it. And of course staying true to who K+O are as a couple. Olivia had a vintage gown from a local shop, which was a pale orange and so lovely, not to mention a smile that could light up the whole garden. Kyle had an off white theme and crochet shirt and white sandals that were such a vibe.

Throughout the day, I made sure to capture all the tiny details that made this wedding unique. From the vintage napkins to the cake with their cat on top, everything had its own story to tell.

I can’t put into words how grateful and honoured I am to have been a part of this incredible wedding. The love and joy that filled the air were palpable, and I’m so excited to present the couple a collection of photos that encapsulate the magic of their day. It’s couples like these that remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place – to capture and preserve moments that will be cherished for a lifetime.

So, my friend, that’s a wrap on this amazing garden wedding with 70’s touches. I hope you had as much fun hearing about it as I did experiencing it.

Let’s chat here about your upcoming wedding day!
